Professional Development Trainee Program 
Trainee Program Elements: 

Bosch’s Professional Development Trainee Program (PDT) will systematically prepare the individual for future professional and leadership positions through cross divisional and/or functional rotations.  Each trainee will be assigned a mentor to provide professional coaching and career guidance.  Trainees will also participate in formal and social Bosch networking events.  In addition to challenging assignments and hands-on work experience, the program will include business acumen and professional development courses and seminars.  The program duration is no longer than 2 years, with 3-4 rotations lasting no longer than 6 months.  Actual work locations (U.S. or overseas) will vary based on the organizational need of the division or functional area.  

Program Structure:

  • Through challenging work assignments and special projects, each trainee will have the opportunity to demonstrate their competency in the following areas:
    • Analytical skills/problem solving
    • Creativity/innovation
    • Customer focus
    • Flexibility/adaptability
    • Leadership
    • Teamwork
    • Technical competence
  • Cross divisional or functional rotations
  • International rotation is optional for Bachelors candidates, based on divisional or functional needs
  • International rotation is required for Masters candidates
  • During the program, an assigned mentor will offer advice on professional and personal development
  • Targeted training and seminars will supplement your professional and personal development
  • We value the active exchange of experiences and networking with other trainee program participants

Basic Program Qualifications: 

  •  Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree (as noted below) received within the last 36 months in at least one of the following majors:
      • Electrical Engineering (Bachelors or Masters)
      • Mechanical Engineering (Bachelors or Masters)
      • Finance (Bachelors & Masters)
      • Accounting (Bachelors, Masters/MBA or CPA)
    • 3.0 GPA minimum (no rounding)
    • Maximum of 3 years or less of work experience
    • Minimum of one completed internship or co-op experience related to field of study
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be geographically mobile
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States, indefinitely
